German/Swiss adaptation of Johanna Spyri’s children’s novel. Young orphan Heidi (Anuk Steffen) lives in the Swiss Alps under the guardianship of her grandfather (Bruno Ganz). She finds herself on an adventure when she is whisked away to become a companion to a wealthy girl.
